do u use like a grid when u draw realistic drawings to get the right proportions ?

yes i do,,i grid it out,get it close to where i think it should be ,,then i will trace the actual picture/photo and put it over the grid drawing i just did to see how close i got to the origional,,this method has to be done this way...you cannot rely on a grid system when doing a portrait,,especially if your being paid to do it...it has to be perfect,,i enjoy seeing how close i can get to the origional using the grid,,,but you will always have to tweak it using the actual tracing,,,it has to be done this way..

yes i do,,i grid it out,get it close to where i think it should be ,,then i will trace the actual picture/photo and put the tracing over the grid drawing that way i can see how close i got to the origional,,if there is something that needs attention i will fix it,,this method has to be done this way...you cannot rely on a grid system when doing a portrait,,especially if your being paid to do it...it has to be dead on perfect,,i enjoy seeing how close i can get to the origional using the grid,,,but you will always have to tweak it using the actual tracing,,,it has to be done this way..no one is going to pay for a comission if their loved one suddenly looks like he or she has come down with a slight case of a lazy eye,
