this is something i did a few weeks ago ...not happy with it ,at all....do you know when you start a drawing and when you get to allmost the halfway point ,,,you start to look for the sign....its like the sign that lets you know if the drawing is gonna be cool .....and you really start getting into it......does anyone know what i mean............well i never got to the point where i felt cool this drawing is gonna look pretty good...it was more of a hassle than anything......sooooo oh well here it is.....i promise i will do better... thankyou
She looks good to me ! I know exactly what you are talking about in your comments, about wanting to get to that point when you think its going to turn out good. Perhaps the only thing that may be spoiling this one is the girl's expression, she perhaps may need a bit more 'attitude' thrown in, perhaps with the mouth ? Not sure if that makes sense, but its the same area (putting expression into a portrait) that I always struggle with.

Yep, I know what you're trying to say. But I do not agree with it totally. When I was at that fase 6 of my fire queen, I wanted to trash it. A friend artist of mine said that I shouldn't. It was badly proportioned I thought. Until one day I'd made a cheap line and suddenly it looks a whole lot better. The result is satisfactional after all.
Listen......,,,,,,,() I know you a bit longer by now. You're harsh on yourself; you always are and you think easely that it is $%()^)&#$#$I(-crap! "Artist own worst critic" is what that is called . Honestly, I wouldn't fave it if I think it was good. That brings me to the drawing:
No, it is not superrealistic, BUT: it is very own styled. It looks great and I see properties back in it and marks your way of drawing. Plus I like the expression; nothing wrong with that and the subtile exaggerated transitions fits the mood: A kinky girl that looks hard on the outside, but a fragility shines through... A drawing through YOUR eyes mate! Do not underestimate that.
In other words: Stop whining and accept the fact that you're good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Know exactly what you mean but I'm starting to find that if you can push through that feeling you get when a piece doesn't really seem to be be working out sometimes you get an amazing piece of work like this when your done .Anyway it's an amazing piece glad you worked through it !

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
